Best shifter for road racing (TH-350)
The car is a heavly modified 82' Trans Am, with NO interior.
The dashboard has been removed and an aluminum is being fashened in the mean time, and no center console.
The Transmission is a TH-350 with a full manual valve body.
Not going for looks, I just need something that will give me positive up & down shifts.
Hurst Quarter Stick any good ?
B & M mega ? how about the Z-Gate ?
Thanks,
Ron C. Terry

Well I was sent to the wolves on this one, but after playing with a few shifters including the Hurst Quarter Stick, and the B&M Megashifter.
First off the Hurst Shifter was a pleasure to play with , it felt good in the hand and shifts where very quick, however as the name implies, this one is made for the quater mile. The trigger got old in my hand, and having to pull it to go from 2nd to 3rd, and back is no good for road racing @ least after the first ten minutes.
The Megashifter - oh yea - nice, this one is a winner the rachet action is something I fell in love with, wham 2nd wham 3rd wham-wham 1st, this is road racing with an automatic !!!
The only beef I have with both of them is the 50 foot cable, whats the deal with this *&$@ !!!! I guess when they mean universal, they mean monster truck ?
Oh well, I thought I would share my findings.
