BW 9-bolt gears
What are all the aftermarket or GM gears available for the Borg-Warner 9-bolt?

GM 9-bolts came with 2.77, 3.27, 3.45, and I've heard 3.70 but I've never seen one.
Aftermarket companies only sell 3.70, and they will only fit cars that came with 3.27 and 3.45, they will not fit 2.77.

I feel for ya man, I have the 2.77 gears in mine too!! You can actually get gears that WILL fit but you have to get them from GM directly and they are VERY expensive! Call and check it out sometime!! The only other option you have, which is the one I will probably go with, is to find a 10 bolt rear out of another thirdgen and swap it in!! But if you're like me, you have the rear disc brakes and finding a 10-bolt rear with disc brakes is going to be difficult task!!
Actually in 1985 the borg warner 9 bolt rear ends came with 3.08, 3.27, 3.42, 3.45, 3.70, 3.73, and 3.75 gears!
In 1986 the 2.77's were introduced and the 3.08, 3.42, 3.73, and 3.75 gears were eliminated from the borg warner rears leaving just the 2.77, 3.27, 3.45, and 3.70 rears!!
