Anybody know where can I get a new TV cable?

I just received my tranny from Pro-Built and I was looking over my car and found a bad TV cable (It doesn't ratchet). Should I just get one from GM. Or do you guys know of a better place? There were some TV cables at www.hptransparts.com, but they showed two different size cables for my year. Does anybody know the correct length for my year T.A.? Any help appreciated!

The B&M TV cable for my TPI states that its universal. What does that mean? It comes in different sizes? Dont we (people with TPI) all have the same size cable?

Just get the GM Cable. I have seen aftermarket cables that do NOT have the correct travel to properly set the TV. I don't think the price would be much different than the one you looked up and you won't pay shipping either.

I got mine from Big A auto parts (a chain store like Napa) it was $21 and they had it in stock, it works good so far.

The last time I worked with a tranny that had an aftermarket cable the tranny also seemed to work right but...

Sometimes even with the correct cable there are problems. One thing that few people do is check the actual function of the cable at the TV Plunger. On this one it wouldn't seat the Plunger fully at WOT and because of the limited adjustment travel I wound up making a special link to get it to work properly. The next time I see one it will get replaced automatically with a GM.

Thanks for the advice guys! I'll be getting one from GM. Lucky for me there is a GM parts and service station over here (England). By any chance does somebody have the GM part#?
