T56 Swap/Dakota Digital SGI-5 Speedo Calbriation Box.. How does this box hook up?

The mechanic that is doing the swap for me called me and said he can't get the speedo working correctly.. If anyone has used the dakota digital box please let me know how you hooked it up, and exactly how I should expect the speedo to act.. I know theres supposed to be some sort of delay, is that long or short? Is there anything else?

Need an answer ASAP so I can call him tomorrow from work and tell him how its supposed to be hooked up so he can have the car ready for me for after work! thanks!

I don't have it in front of me , but I'll try and remember.

Of teh two speedo wires going to the trans one stays connected to the trans. It doesn't matter which one. The other one needs to be cut and run to the box from the trans into the "input". A switched 12 volt source must be connected to "power"(from the fuse box) and any suitable ground may be used and connected to the "ground". That's the easy part. I had trouble at first finding which of the outputs I needed to use. I think I used "output 3" As long as you have the power, ground, and input hoked up correctly you just have to play with each output to get the correct range you need. The first two switches also have to be set correctly so the box knows what mode it needs to be in. One should definitely be off and two should also be off because you are converting a high speed signal to a much lower speed. Good luck!
