swapping auto trans for manual, any suggestions?
hey guys, I am wanting to change my auto trans 92 rs into a 5 speed car, how much trouble is this, or should I just look for a manual car? My car is in good condition but far from where I want it. It's a little rusty underneath but not terrible. I understand that this car will never win any car show, I just like it to drive well and be able to perform as a sports car should. Any opinions would be appreciated.

you could always poke around the site and try a search or something first, since this is covered about a zillion times every week and even has a nice tech article in the tech section.

its not terribly hard to do. Hardest part i found was swapping the pedals. Its a bit tight under teh dash. Since they are all factory parts, everything bolts in. You just have to cut a hole for the shifter and clutch master cylinder.
