Panhard bar bolt??? A little help please!
So I am swapping the rear end in my 85 z28 and I broke the panhard bar bolt. My question is that the stock bolt has the 14mm to 12mm stepped bolt (which I broke) and I can't find one at any of the stores around here like this. I really don't want to have to wait for shipping just for a bolt because I want the rear to be finished tomorrow. So..... Could I possibly just get a standard 12mm round straight grade 8 bolt to use??? I could get that right away and finish the job then! Thanks.

you can try a dealer, if they dont have it, you have to order it.
Or of you are close enough to Spohn, http://www.spohn.net/shop/1982-1992-...dware-Kit.html, you can get these. Not sure where altoona is.
You can use a regular 12mm bolt to get by, but i would not drive much, if at all with it, since the extra slop will damage the holes in the mounting points on the car/axle

Thanks very much for the help. I tried every store and dealership in my area and they all have to order it so that is what I did. I figured being impatient would not benefit me in the least so I'm going the smarter route and waiting for the mail man.
