4l60e torque converter not locking.
I swapped a 95 Lt1 4l60e into my 89 RS it drives great switches good but my torque converter is not locking and it revs to about 2500 rpms going 60mph in 4th.( I have 3.23 gear ratio and the car i got the engine and trans from had 2.73 gear ratio if it even matters).
The VSS in hooked up to the back of the Transmission but not hooked up to the spedo because my 89rs is cable driven and i have gps so knowing how fast i was going didnt bother me at the time. Would this cause no lockup in od?

Ok can i just hook up the Vehicle speed signal dk/white wire that comes from the pcm to the yellow vss box on the back of the cluster even though the stock 89s speedometer is cable driven? If not how can i get it to work so my tcc locks up? I really don't want to burn this Tranny up. thanks

oh wait, you have a cble? no that VSS wont work, you need a 4000 pulse per mile generator. eo either get yourself a VSS with a cable x boc, or a b&m lock up controller
