Are All 4L60E Transmissions The Same?
I Found A Good Deal On A 4L60E With 29K Miles, It's Off An '08 Hummer H3, It Was Attached To A 5 Cylinder Engine, I Heard There's Different Clutch Packs For V6 Engines & V8's, Is That True? I Wanted To Bolt It Up To My 350 TPI And Possibly To An LQ9 In The Future, Could I Use This 4L60E Transmission From The Hummer H3?
I Know I Need The Brain From A '98-'02 Z28/SS Camaro But Other Than That Will It Work?

Re: Are All 4L60E Transmissions The Same?
Yes the clutches used in the transmissions for the low-power engines have fewer frictions and steels.
The bolt pattern where it bolts to the motor IIRC is different as well.
It'd be a much better idea to abandon that plan, and look for one out of a 2WD truck or car with a V8 (4.8, 5.3, 5.7).
