T56- Clutch Pedal very hard to press, grinds.
My car was originally a 2.8/automatic, now has a 350/t-56. Been driving the car with no problems for the past two months. Anyway, driving home from work i pressed the clutch to go into third and it just stopped working. When depressed, it would go down halfway then just stop, like something was stuck. Looked under the dash, and the rod would just stop moving in the master half way down, and the firewall would flex.
I replaced the clutch master today, and swapped in a thirdgen pedal assembly, as they have the support brackets for the master on the inside to help with firewall flex. I was using 4th gen pedals before. Got all the air out, pedal is nice and firm, but when i press it, it gets very hard to press at about halfway, and if i press harder i hear a loud grinding noise come from the bell housing. Feels like something will break if i keep going.
Searched the forum, but couldn't find any info on this issue. Clutch was installed new. Not sure what could be making the noise. Probably going to pull the trans on thursday to take a look, but if there is way around that, i would really like to know what it could be first.

Decided to pull the trans this evening, had it out in half an hour. Thats what i get for going with a 200 buck ebay clutch kit.
The back lip of the throwout bearing sheared right off. The noise was the clutch fork hitting the pressure plate just like you said
