Really Bad Noise HELP

So I have looking around and there are so many threads about how people hear strange noises. None of these threads have helped so I took it upon myself to start one. There is an awful clunking/clicking noise coming from my 86 iroc tbi 5 speed (everything stock). I know it is not specific but I'm not sure where its coming from. It sounds like it is coming from behind.

Used to hear it when:
Setting off
accelerating at low speeds
more when going around corners
letting off throttle
when hitting bumps
just driving at random times

Now it is constant as long as the car is moving and its not in neutral, or the has the clutch in. The higher the rpm the faster the knock/click and the loader it gets.

My guess is the rear end, as before I thought it was U joints. Could it be the gears in the diff are not inline with one another anymore?

Re: Really Bad Noise HELP

Have you looked underneath the car to inspect for any damage?
