Need help identifying transmission part
This circular part on my transmission has been dripping fluid for about a year now. What part is it?

Re: Need help identifying transmission part
Thanks! Ouch at $82 for a replacement at Advanced Auto. Do you know if there is a fix for a leak on this part without buying a new part?

I think it may be leaking out of the body itself but I will start with the O-Ring.

If you need to replace it, call Teal Automotive and ask for Sheryl, and tell her I sent you and she will give you the part at my cost. 765 768-7726 EST in Dunkirk, Indiana.

Re: Need help identifying transmission part
I've never touched it. The transmission shop that rebuilt it may have cleaned it off but it wasn't that dirty to begin with somehow.
I'm going to take a shot at replacing the oring this weekend. Will a parts store have the oring in stock or should I be looking for it online? An online search hasn't turned up a whole lot so far.

Edit: Never mind I cracked and decided that the time I would waste calling around town hoping to get lucky wouldn't be worth just spending the $17. Thanks for the link!

Re: Need help identifying transmission part
I installed the new oring and I still have the leak. It's hard to find the source of the leak but I think it's leaking from the sensor body itself.

Re: Need help identifying transmission part
If you have to buy a sensor from Advance, buy it online with their 30% or 40% off coupon and just pick it up in store. It's been awhile since I've used those codes, but the 40% may require $100 purchase. Just Google search the discount codes, but I think they were TRT30 and TRT40 if they still work.
