Sorry - won't be around much longer...

Okay, so I woke up at 10:30 this morning because my dad woke me up to ask me where I had parked. Not unusual, but when I saw the expression on his face, I knew something was wrong. The car had been stolen So my gf and I drive down to the ghetto and start asking around. Word on the street is, some kid named Eric O'Gurkin aka "Spanky" stole my car and has been hot rodding it around the neighborhood. Everybody and their mother has seen this kid in my car except me. I reported it to 2 police stations and told them where the car has been spotted throughout the day and they still have not called. So, with all the trouble I've run into with this car (almost killed me thrice - not twice, but thrice), I have chosen to sell it for as much as I can and buy a new car. I dont know what I am going to get - I'll be visiting the auctions. Wish me luck...I'll still come around, cuz as soon as I can afford it: 2002 Camaro SS.....

Yours Truly,
Jay aka JadesAn89

How has it almost killed you? Because if it was reckless driving/driver error, the car isn't gonna matter....

In Response To All Questions Asked...

1. There was no alarm on the car.
2. The car almost killed me once because the wheel fell off doing 65 down the highway and twice because the tranny line blew out of the radiator and the oil caught on fire - dont really consider either of those driver error.
3. The SS? I love that car. I think it's beautiful and if I DO get one, it will be garage-kept and have the best alarm system I can find.

Now, here's the scoop. This "Spanky" kid called my house this morning because he heard people were out looking in the neighborhood and he found my number in the car. So we went down and found the car with him standing on the corner. He parked it right in front of my mechanic's house - mistake #1. Anyway, he said he bought it from someone - yada yada yada. He's a lying bastard. We told him we were calling the cops and he asked if there was anything he could do to get his name cleared. Well, we know where he lives and we told him that if he doesnt have my car fixed in a week, he's getting his *** kicked and thrown in jail. Anyway, I'm still selling the car - although I hate to give it up. I have honestly had nothing but troubles since I got her and I just need to get something economical for the moment (insurance and repairs are emptying my pocket). So, wish me luck selling it. KBB said its worth 2000 and that's what I paid for it. So I'm asking 2000 or best offer - then it's off to the auctions for a 4-wheel drive car since winters here are a bitch and I only have enough money for one car....

Thanks for the Sympathy,
Jay

I am not trying to sound like a jerk, but the tire thing could of been related too lack of maintenance. The fire i understand you had no control over, but it just seems funny to me that a tire would roll off unless something wasn't being taken care of.

Actually, I understand what you mean. I brought the car into a mechanic and he checked my break system. I believe it may be his fault that he didn't tighten the nuts back on properly. I've just had bad luck with this car all around so its time for something new...
