how do u remove the governor out of a 89 RS with a 2.8...andis the 2.8 in my camaro a 2.8 MPFI or something else...ive owned alot of camaros 85 or older and they were....
If your V6 is fuel injected and made before 1990, then you have an MPFI 2.8. If it's 90-92, it's an MPFI 3.1. And I believe 82-84 got a carbureted 2.8. The governor....I assume it's programmed into the computer's PROM. You'd have to replace that with a custom one to disable the speed limiter....that's my guess anyways.
thats what i though i just wanted to prove to someone thats what it was...oh, i thought hte governor might be somewhere else, anyone know what speed it kicks in at?
you can also disconnect your speedo cable
but you obvioulsy wont have a speedo to tell what speed your going
