Well these are the LT/LS guys and girls so i figured the bst place to go... I was told that the LT1 Starter would work on a 305... and its much smaller and easier to install and remove... anyone know this for sure... Aslo good place to pick one up?

Re: Starter...

It works so long as you have the smaller flywheel which is almost certain on a 305 ( Side by side bolt pattern on the starter ) but if you really want a pimp starter the Corvette mini starter rocks and even sounds high tech. The LT1 starter is smaller than the usual so it fits in the very tight opening on the t56 but the Vette starter is smallest for stock offerings that is. There may be some smaller aftermarket ones out there
