Intermitant code for TPS...
happens at idle after car is warmed up. Say run for 10 min @ 45mph...then run at 70mph for another 10 min. Then exit hwy sit at light at the bottom of the ramp. After the car idles a bit I see the Chedk engine light? Does not happen all the time...notice more on cold mornings, but not often enough to be significant.
Checked code...says TPS...checked TPS...voltage in normal range? Could the TPS have an intermitant prob...be going bad? Should I just replace it and go on my merry way?

Car: IROC Z
Engine: 5.7

there are 2 different codes for tps, a voltage out of spec and then the bad tps code i beleive.
take an analog multimeter remove the tps and put the 2 ends on the middle and top wire hole. then move the lever slowly and watch for jumps in the needle. do this for like 5 mins to make sure.
but its probably bad.

Think it was code 21 high voltage
...code 22 is low voltage
saw something that said if engine is getting less then 12gm/sec of air & TPS sig voltage more then 2.5...
I thought is was odd we checked it and it was spot on! but it only codes after car is run pretty hard and then is at idle. will go back off once I move again...
