Car: 1991 CAMARO 1968 FIREBIRD
Engine: CAMARO 3.1L FIREBIRD 455
Transmission: CAMARO 700R4 FIREBIRD TH-400
Yes it has the 700r4 but it will not bolt up to the 350 it has a different bolt pattern. You will also need to change engine mounting points suspension on the front ecm etc. It would be easier to buy a 350 camaro or firebird.

Sure it can be done
Requirement is ya gotta absolutly love your current car to put out that effort.
It's a fair amount of effort.
Who cares about the money.
You have to decide to make the commitment & finish that V6-V8 swap project
It's way easier to sell the current car & go buy a nicer V8 3rd Gen already done!
Maybe you can score a loaded 3rd Gen convertible V8 w/stick!

Alright
Let me toss this out
You can certainly upgrade to a V8
Upgrade Fuel pump
Change wiring harness & connnections for your gauges
Rad. is the same
Tranny upgrade to a V8 bellhousing & tranny
Motor mounts
"Various other stuff"
YOUR BIG HANGUP IS
The VIN
That's right
IF ya gotta do smog testing you may get "into trouble" with smog
SO MAKE DAMN SURE YOU KNOW YOU SMOG LAWS ABOUT the V6 Chassis to a V8 engine
The VIN right now "says" it was originally a V6!
Kinda go forward from there.
A 3.4 upgrade from a 93-95 F Body is a near simple drop in engine swap, very "uncomplicated & no true engineering needed".
V8 upgrade ya gotta know the details or else you'll be sitting there with a lot of engineering to do until it runs on road again.
Don't forget spring changes, too. Extra weight of V8.
Go forward
Find my swap thread of the V6 to V6 (2.8-3.4) for many answers to help guide you.
