another water pump question
He guys, I just want to know if this sealer is good to use on the water pump bolts, the ones that require sealer. It is the permatex thread sealer with teflon.
http://www.permatex.com/products/aut..._with_PTFE.htm
Actually, I already applied it and slapped it together, but I was just starting to wonder if this is a good sealer to have used. If not what do you recommend as Im willing to redo it. I thought I already posted this but I guess I did not??? lol anyway thanks in advance!

Re: another water pump question
You should be fine with that. next time you can just use any ol RTV automotive sealant that you can by from every autoparts store. Its cheap and cheerful and it has worked on applications for years- RTV is what is normally supposed to be used.
I would not bother changing it though unless it leaks in the next week- Just keep an eye on the bolt heads for moisture. You should have coated the gasket on each side with RTV also, I am assuming you just put this in dry- You may get lucky and be ok, no need to change it if its working.
Also for a tip, the best replacement waterpump made comes from Airtex. They last great and have a shrouded impellor.
