Before ya push it over the cliff, can I have your exhaust system?
GET TO WORK!!!
Now is the time to also change that timing chain!
You'll really enjoy the final effort results. Smoother stronger engine! And better fuel economy, too!

I was thinkin, maybe i'll just run it like this for a few min, then i'll have a good excuse to get a 3.4 in there...

Yeah, that's teh ticket.
That's how I did mine!
I blew a 1 1/2" hole in the number one piston, going over a hill in LA. Easier to coast downhill, than backwards in traffic!
Oh, if your trans is shifting funny, it's history. No fixing it, honest.
I changed the fluid in my funny shifting tranny.
I just picked it up from the tranny shop, last night with a new rebuild.
Don't drop the pan! You need that bad fluid to keep moving. Remove that bad, old fluid and you'll only coast down those ramps.
But, give me the exhaust!
Here...
https://www.thirdgen.org/Messgboard/...ML/001462.html
Start shopping for a good tranny shop, spend the effort on a new chain (it's transfers to the 3.4 engine, so no wasted dollars) and water pump and hoses (those transfer, too!). Make your foundation strong, so when ya get the 3.4, you have no other problems to hold back the fun!!

I remember there was a big park near where i lived, lots of trees. There was also a stream or maybe water run off going thru there. It actually had to of been a stream as it was always full over water. Anyways we used to go down there and catch frogs and fish in it. I di remember the big water runways they had in town too. LOL damn, memories lol....

Where do you get off telling me I have a loser lifestyle? Please elaborate.

You want to talk about losers...how about the guys that spend $2, $3, $4000 on a V6 just to make it beat a stock V8?

That, in my book is a loser lifestyle.

You really have nothing better to do, eh, Mikey? Do you pick fights with 5 year olds, too? I agree with Karl, you're a loser in my book. A true gearhead would appreciate what we've done over here, and many v8 guys have done that. However, because you can't, you're a v8-owning loser.

Oh $hit! V8's are faster? Wow. (laughs) Didjya think we didn't realize that? You remind me of the dipsht's that have asked me "why don't you just put a V8 in?" You dimwits think that thought's never crossed our minds! If you're trying to be our savior, forget it; we already know a v8's better/stronger/etc. Hell, a V8 has two more power strokes than a V6; of course out of two otherwise equally inducted/sized/exhausted motors, one being a V6, and one being a V8, the v8 will be faster. You don't need to be a genius to figure that one out. Do you know what a power stroke is?

I bet you rag on the TBI and E4ME guys, too, dontchya. I can hear you now: "Why bother with TBI? It sucks compared to my TPI."
