Get a hold of me off line & tell you your troubles!!!
FIGURE OUT HOW MUCH YA WANNA SPEND & BE PREPARED TO BACK THAT UP!
I paid $800 for a 40K 3.4 motor!
That's a price that can go UP depending on the milage you want or a price that can go down, with a long block with more miles! Let's figure $100 for shipping. Gaskets about $100.
You're looking at spending a grand or so. REALISTICALLY.
Happy to make the call. Glad ya caught me. I'm relocating and won't be here for a bit.

How ya gonna pay the loan ya taking on the 1968?
Sure, I'd be happy to give it a shot!
Drive it over LOLOLOLOLOL, J/K!
Want to help me & Graeme move my 1967 Camaro?
For what's it's worth, a stock cast iron Pontiac intake is JUST AS EFFECTIVE as almost ANY AFTERMARKET ONE! Been reading up on my Pontiac stuff I have in mags. You are using a matching Rochester, aren't ya? No need for a Holley & that cost. AND a Holley MEANS you MUST USE A DEDICATED INTAKE for it (square bore & aftermarket). IF YA HAVE THE STOCK on it now!, just go get a good 2-bbl to get it to run. Can you say FREE CARB??? & start engine to move it? People give those carbs away! YOU NEED BRAKES!! Those old cars (I know this to well) are like "Flintstone cars". Might as well use your feet to stop, it's more effective. That's why my Wife's 1968 Camaro gets the disc brake set up I have already for her. Her drum brakes suck BIG TIME!!!

Hey nothingssafe, is the price range I guesstimated in your "affordable" price range? INFORM ME, PLEASE!!! I'll check if this guy will/can arrange ship to Phoenix area. I know he's got the motors.

Here's the deal.
Payment US POST OFFICE MONEY ORDER ONLY!!!!
They cost ya $.075 each. Max I think (limit on post office checks is $700 per check, so may have to buy two).
Shipping is $200.
He is there M-F from 8 am to 4 pm PST.
Best I can offer ya.
You know the cost of the 3.4 engine, as I gave you my 3.4 purchase cost as a guide.
Other option is to spend the gas money & time to go get it from LA to Phoenix. Wrecking yard is in Los Angeles, down town area, off the 10 Freeway.

ok well, my friend and i have decided the fate of my car(adn his). we are taking the TPI 350 out of his 85 vette. we are going to do a full restoration on my 88. we are then putting a 502 in his vette! he already has it, its just trying to figure out how to do it! i know all of the stories of doing a v6 to v8 swap, but i have all the time in the world since i have my 4th gen now. plus we are doing a full rebuild on the 160k 350. we hope to get it pushing 12's after we are done. i have a chevy mag that has the formula for it.

GOOD SCORE.
On the Corvette, it's easy.
www.corvetteforum.com, go to the C4 section and do a post about swappng in a big block. IT'S BEEN DONE, just alot of swapping and creating parts.
IT IS LEGAL SWAP NO WHERE IN THE UNITED STATES!
GM NEVER INTENDED THE BIG BLOCK TO BE IN A 1984-1994 C4 Corvette.
It'll rip asphalt!!
Glad to hear ya be doing a V-8 swap. IT is cost effective, also. I've done my swap becaus of emissions. You'll be doing yours right, too!!
