I can get 25 if I baby it on the highway, but here in Texas, i'm going 75, so it's more like 20

Last long run was last month to Santa Cruz and back. Mostly freeway at 70ish and I got just over 25 mpg. A big improvement over the 16-17 when I got hold of it. Daily driving around it's more like 19.

Re: What is your v6 MPG?
I get 19 mpg in city driving and 25 - 27 mpg hwy. If I could keep it under 75 mpg, I'd consistently get 27, but..............

Re: What is your v6 MPG?
25 is my best so far all highway. 75mph, 2600rpm roughly with a loaded car + passenger. 4000lbs + rolling down the road. Top down too...

Re: What is your v6 MPG?
About 20mpg average as of now and its about 70% highway. That's reving 2500 Rpm at 70 mph on the cars set up now.
When it was a stock car and a DD, I got arround 25. That was with a 50/50 mix of highway and town driving. Ill also add I live where there isnt a hill anywhere. Its nice and flat.

Re: What is your v6 MPG?
So who was it claiming a 3.1 did 36 MPG in another thread? And why such bad numbers?
I've seen evidence of a 4.3L S-10 doing 28 MPH on the highway with a 2" drop all around, stock airdam, tonneau, 700R-4, and 3.42:1 on 26" tires, IIRC, and an old, stock '96 Bonneville 3.8 doing 35 MPG with the converter not locking. Also on several websites the details of a '78 Camaro 350 managing 25 MPG at 65 MPH, with details of how to copy it, and what went wrong. Legend has it that on one of Car Craft's old RSE events a GNX did 50 MPG.

Re: What is your v6 MPG?
All MPG threads always seem to get blurry with other cars...... which i dont understand why.
But im sure if you took a poll of people that were in the same situation as you with the type of surfaces your driving on, and the amount of city/highway, you would have the same numbers as your posting. But then again hopefully a few more post some feedback stats for you that are V6 thirdgen related.
Your pretty close to what the sticker would have said when the car was new and actually better in town but that comes down to how hard we are on the peddle.
I believe it was arround 17/25 for a auto and 15/24mpg for a stick for a late 2.8L f-body.
I got about that for 5 years straight when my car was completly stock and daily driven.
