Car: 89 f-bird and some others
Engine: 3.4
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.42
I thought I had a rear main leak, especially after throwing caution to the wind and putting synthetic in, but when I pulled the dist out last week, there was oil all around the base of it. the old o-ring was completely shot. As for testing the valve covers, I'd just try to get a finger along the back edge of it and see if there's oil coming from it.
If you've never pulled your dist then your o-ring is probably just as bad.

Use a Chevy Small Block gasket to stop oil leak. Black RTV both sides of gasket
IF ya wanna, get the o ring, too.

yea lol ive been a big fan of 2pac even though i listen to basically no rap. i havent had a rap cd for years now, the only rap cds i actually still buy will be 2pac cuz hes so different from all that other stuff, plus i pretty much have every cd of his and maybe one day they'll be worth something since they are all original mint condition, and they started re-releasing them hehe
