Anyone running Goodyear Ultra Plus Tires?
I got a deal on one($40) that was closed out at Discount tire. The reviews I read on Tirerack were not very good. Sounds like Pep Boys has some decent tires that most everyone has had good thing to say about them.
I have run BFGs and Bridgestones in the past. Just seems that I do not get more than 15-20k out of them.
Should I get just one more Goodyear and put them on the front, go Goodyear all around or what
Running stock 16" rims by the way.
Thanks in Advance!

The goodyears are nice.....wear out pretty quick though. They hook decent, but aren't worth the money. A 245 50 16 Ultra Plus goes for almost $190 retail cost I do believe....
Stick to Goodyear or Yokohama, IMO....best bang for the buck. Goodyear is too expensive...and Bridgestone, well Bridgestone and Firestone just plain suck. In my experience, they make some very ****ty tires.
Might consider looking into BFG Traction T/A's. In the wider sizes they have an outstanding treadlife and provide a *decent* hook-up. Nothing dragstrip worthy, but enough for normal driving and stoplight jaunts.

You have to shop around, find a cheap price.then try to get a shop to match/beat that price.I got my GoodYear Eagle HP's Ultra Plus 255/50ZR-16 for $131.95 ea.With road hazard & mounting total was about $630+ change. That was back in Oct-03.They still have about half their tread left on them.No complaints here.Ive always gone with Goodyear they've never let me down...Just my Experience with them though, but ill go with these same HP's again..

Never priced em honestly...I stick to BFG's now since I get double-discount on em and I really like BFG tires to begin with. DIscount isnt nearly as cheap for Goodyears or other makes...
I'd run Michelin since theyre double for me too, seeing as theyre basically the best tire on the market, but theyre more luxury/all-weather tires.... Too much tire for the Mustang or the Probe. It'd be like trying to polish a turd.
