did some quick photoshop on 91-92 wheels
Hey all,
I picked up some 91-92 Z28 wheels for $50 on craigslist about a year ago and they are in pretty rough shape and a practically brand new set of tires (700 miles on them) for $100
I got the wheels mainly because I had a buyer for the 15" wheels that came on the car so in order to get my project on the ground I had to get something fast and cheap.
Anyways, I don't have the money to by a nice set of wheels or haven't found a good deal on craigslist yet where I don't have to drive 5 hours. but I've got my project road ready so I want to do something with the wheels I have for now so I did some photoshop to see what you guys think.
I've seen some that have the inside painted all black but I want to be a little different.

They look good to me. If you can get them to look that good when they go on the car... that's the real question. You've got my thumbs up

Ive never seen a painted set of 91-92 wheels (and I've seen a LOT of them) that looked good. The only halfway decent looking example I've seen was the guy who powder coated them. The finish actually looked decent, but you cant powdercoat the plastic centercap so it still doesnt look quite right.
The rough machined finish on these things plus the general shape with the large centercap just make them hideous when painted.
If you want them to look decent, just polish them up. Anything other than that and they will look awful.
By the way, those look pretty decent to me.
