Re: Which wheels?
The black bullits were a thought because of the black that will set with the car. Have. It seen number 1 on a third gen yet, so not as sure as I'd like to be on that one. The C6Z do look good on our cars.

Re: Which wheels?
Why not a wheel with a white lip and black center to keep with the zebra theme.
Of the ones you listed I like the first the best.

Re: Which wheels?
Not a fan of bullets or thrust style wheels. Always hated cragars too.
It really depends on the car, but polished lips are kinda lame IMHO.
I like the C6 Z wheels the best. I also would rather own them in satin black, but thats me.
Anything over 19" is too big. Unless you intend on being BALL-UH status.

Re: Which wheels?
The 4th ones did not seem as tq thrust as usual to me for some reason. Satin ZO would be nice.

Friend if mine says he saw the first one in person and said it looked like crap, but I wonder if it was the car? Tires? Or if the wheels just look trash in person.

Re: Which wheels?
Well, this is a idea of what I want for paint, but the rear deck and mirrors will be black as well.
Here is a car with a set like number one, but, thicker, and more polished lip, I think the extra lip may be excessive, but it is a idea of what I am lookin for.

Re: Which wheels?
I'm sure you already know, but that last picture is CCW Classic wheels. And while they may be "simliar" they really don't look that simlar if you look at the details. IMO the Classic look FAR superior to the first you have pictured.

Re: Which wheels?
Yep, just gives a idea, but the first ones look better to me because of less polished lip and the center is not as solid and plain looking, that is just me.

Re: Which wheels?
I lean to the 4 over 3 because the spoke section looks thinner, but the black would look nicer.

Re: Which wheels?
My personal.opinion is that those don't look too good on a Z28 because they remind me of the GTA wheels even though their not, but they resemble them from a distance to me. So I would put some 16" torque thrusts in either chrome polished or all black for the '91 '92 Z

Re: Which wheels?
I want 17s, nothing less or more, a 245/50 sucks compared to the 275/40 for holding the road. Not to mention looks. If I could find a nice 16x9 or 16x10, I would run a 295/50 but that is. It good for hard cornering. Looks great though.
Yep, you are correct.

Then by all means get some 17x9s or for even greater traction 17x10.
I own a 94 T/A with 245/50s and their ok on corners, but I drove my neighbors '97 WS6 T/A with 275/40s and the only thing I noticed was slightly better grip because of the slightly wider stance.

Re: Which wheels?
The first photo of a wheel looks to "busy" over kill.
The second photo wheel looks much better with a simple design and a aggressive look about them.

Re: Which wheels?
Yessir, and I have plenty of members here proving those look great on out cars. Some 4th gen and other newer GM guys think they look out of place in our rides. Fools I say...

I think the deep lip looks better ( just my) they do come in 17's all the way around, I would do the 17x9.5 front 18x10.5 rear but thats just me

Re: Which wheels?
If your going with a black a white theme for your car Than IMO I would want something simple and solid black. Nothing with polished lip or fake polished fasteners..
That Corvette wheel I suggested fits the bill.

Re: Which wheels?
I guess I'll be the minority here. I like the last 2 sets. I don't think of those as a "bullet" wheel at all. Those are a variation of the classic 5 spoke torque thrust, and they fit the design of all kinds of cars, not just mustangs.
I don't like the Z06 wheels. The thin spokes and the all black design is going to draw attention to your brakes & wheel wells, so unless they're pristine, the overall look is going to make your car look worse. I also don't like the look of shallow offset wheels on older cars. The deeper dish of a wheel with 4" or 4.5" of backspacing looks much more appropriate on a thirdgen.

Re: Which wheels?
For those of you that don't like the "fake fastners" here they are without.... http://oewheelsllc.com/Wheels_3/Whee...Wheels-Black_2
The sim. rivets give the wheel that 3 pcs look without the 3 pcs price, I think they look plain without. The rivets give the wheel that extra pizzaz IMO....
