Wheel and tire sizes and offsets
I know this will ruffle a few feathers as much as has been written on here about this but i'm not looking for opinion as has been ask in the past. I have 84 sport coupe rear drum brakes and stock suspension. I am trying to achieve stance and wheel and tire size and look of Nufnuffz28's july car of the month winner. Has anyone seen a third gen with this setup as he doesn't mention what offset/backspacing he uses, and what wheel offset they were using. Not interested in suspension mods or body mods to make this work. He uses 18x10 wheels on back with 295-35zr19 tires and 18x8 wheels on front with 275-35zr19 tires on front. Would consider 18 in. wheels.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Wheel and tire sizes and offsets
Not really sure what you mean by lip unless your wheel openings have been modified.

Re: Wheel and tire sizes and offsets
18 or 19x8 would usually have 4.5" of backspacing. 4 will work, but it too far out for some people.
18 or 19x10, again 5.5 works, but is too far out for most, its a more common offset for smaller 15 and 16" wheels. You can tuck a 18 or 19" wheels further in since they clear the bumpstop area better. If you can find 6" of BS, that's a good fit.

Re: Wheel and tire sizes and offsets
Is this based on a car with rear drum brakes, which is what i have, or are those figures based on a car with rear disc brakes because i think rear disc put the wheels outward about an inch more than drum brakes i think. Thanks for the info and any suggestions are helpful as i'd really hate to go out and spend $1500.00 to $1800.00 just to find out i'm having a scrub and rub problem.
