Opinions wanted on wheels
Got a 91 Formula.. meduim green metallic, will need paint and will stay factory color.. i hate my chrome american racing rebels, but tires are brand new, so im looking to stay 17. I have C5 brake upgrade and have 2 inch adapters to use. All two wheels are 17x9.5 54mm and one is 17x8.5 49mm offset(ZR1)
here is a shot of the car, and followed by pics of wheels... the last one is my fav

To be completely honest, I'm not a fan of any of those for a third gen. It would be an improvement over what you're running now but I'd keep looking. There's a lot of neat stuff out there that isn't meant for a corvette.
I think some tsw rockinghams would look sic. I almost went with those wheels for my car.

It might just be me, but I think the Rebels look perfect on the car! Perfect size and that little amount of lip looks awesome! If you want black wheels, I would powdercoat the centers of the Rebels black and leave the lip polished.

I agree. I don't know if your mind is set on these 3 though so if I had to choose it would be the first one for your car.

Re: Opinions wanted on wheels
yeah i know they are vette wheels, i can get them affordably and swap tires over. I might plasti dip the rebels, but they are heavy as hell already. and id love to run formula or GTA wheels, id have to mod my modded brake setup up front to clear them. OE Wheel is like an 1 1/2 hrs from me and i can pick up, and they have offered in the past to do the mount/balance too(for a fee of course). I want to be lighter and decent, and i like the black, maybe even with a polished lip, but never been huge fan of chrome

Brake fitment on CTW

No spacers needed IIRC they weigh about 20 lbs
I might get me some lol

Re: Opinions wanted on wheels
Maybe I'm biased, but I would stick w/ the Rebels. lol...
If I was to buy something else, they would have a lip instead of the flat faced wheels such as the C5 & other more modern wheels.

Re: Opinions wanted on wheels
I think your wheels now are cool, but I would definitely drop it and you might change your mind. Believe me it makes a big difference dude! I like the second rims of all, I've seen a deep dish version that are sick! Theres a member on TGO that has the ones I like. Look them up and if your really serious about changing the rims go with those.

Re: Opinions wanted on wheels
Dropping the car to make the nice wheels you currently have look nicer is cheaper! Not to mention the suspension performance gain. You can have the best of both worlds - appearance and affordability.

Re: Opinions wanted on wheels
That is the factory Medium Green paint in the picture.
My car is actually 1/2" lower than pictured.
The wheels are not my favorite, but for the price, I was very happy with them.
I considered a wheel with a charcoal or silver center, similar to this HRE wheel.
Personally I'm not a fan of black wheels with this color car, regardless of the popularity... I mainly build what I like & am not concerned if I'm keeping up with the latest trends. I was considering some some 305's on 18 x 10's at all 4 corners, but the cost of new wheels makes me like the old ones more all the time.

If your heart is set I'd go for wheel #3. Personally I'd paint the car first and see if you like the look before purchasing new wheels.

Lower the car a few inches and the Rebels will look really good.

I am partial to the CTW Motorsports wheel. Wheels way in just a few ounces over 20lbs.
