hedman headers.. what a pain!

I just started installing my new headers, the driver side almost dropped right into place without much trouble, the passenger side was a bit more difficult, had to remove the starter to get them in, and now the collector comes right up against the starter solonoid and on the other side, they come against my fuel lines!

argh, so now i gotta reroute fuel lines and figure something out with my starter.

anyone else have these troubles with hedman?

I never had any problems over by the starter. The only things that I remember getting in the way were the brake lines on the driver's side. Just had to bend them over a little bit to keep them from getting too hot though. I guess not every set of headers is put together exactly the same though. Production variances or something (even with supposedly identical parts).

Yea I dunno, I am going to put header wrap over the collector and hopefully the starter will be protected from direct heat transfer. I don't know what else i can do.

Route the brake lines under the steering shaft instead of over it and that's that. I didn't really have a problem with the starter. I have HTC headers so I wasn't real worried about the closeness.
