this winter i am sending my car out to get a cam and headers..i think i know who i want for headers now i just need opinions on a cam...im leaving everything else stock on the car for now (heads rods pistons etc) although i am putting either hooker headers or edlebrock headers on her....i have an 87 (i think 350tpi)...which cam would best suit my needs..(i want that lumpy sound that at idle you feel the car rocking)...please post your input as it will be fairly soon that the work gets started...sept or so..

Well I'll tell you this. You won't be able to run a cam that rocks your car at idle. The ECM will go nuts. You have to run a cam that doesn't rock the car at idle, to please the computer. Look at companies like Comp Cams, who make TPI specific camshafts that are designed to work with TPI's long runners.
