I have an '89 vert with no cats and I need to get some SFCs to get rid of this FLEX!
Any recommendations?
I did a search and there really isn't a recent thread on vert SFCs.
I'd like to get something on order by Sunday so any help will be appreciated.
Thanks all!

Hey, I have an 88 Iroc convertible, I got the Mac supension sfc's and they fit great and made a huge difference. Deffinetly worth the money. They were only $150 and I got the weld in type which are the best ones for strength. I also put a front cross brace in from Edelbrock and that made a great difference also. If you do both it feels like a totally different car.

I think if I remember correctly Alston makes good SFCs that fit verts.
Okay, MAC and Alston. Now where is the best place to get them?

Alston have stopped production, you can't get them now. They were available at http://www.racenet.net but now they don't have any thirdgen items.
You can get the Mac ones at www.macmidwest.com, they are a direct weld in with no mods like the alstons.
Then kenny brown makes theirs that requires minor work to fit in a vert.
Steve spohn said that he'd be done soon with vert ones.
Go with the macs, they're cheap and everyone i've talked to likes them.

Thanks for the help, Joe.
I think the link to MAC is screwed up.
EDIT: The link is bad because of the the comma at the end.

i have an 89 vert project car. What is an sfc and is this something I should address now before the car hits the streets?

SFC's are subframe connecters that mount underneath your car and (from what i've heard) greatly reduce the amount of flex that your vert has when going over bumps, hard turns etc. Since the roof has been chopped off a lot of the rigidity of the car went along with it, i plan on buying myself a set hopefully in the next month or two. I've also heard that this should be your first mod to ANY vert as strengthening the chassis is important.
