SDPC modified Vortec heads, anyone use these?
I am using a set of 062 Vortecs 11-98 dated that were bare castings. Didn't cost much to have them assembled and screw in studs put in. The car runs beautifully with these heads but I can't really get on it too much without any seats.
But to answer your question no I am not running those but look on ebay for bare castings and give them to a machine shop for build-up and you will be more than happy.
Make sure they are I think 1998 and later with the back cut on the exhaust valve.

Not exactly..
I just bought a set of "out of the box" heads from the local dealer then had my Machine shop mod them..
Cut down the valve guide boss..
new Comp springs (singles, dampers removed)
and ARP studs..
THEY RUN AWESOME on my 388...
