SR Torquer 87+ heads and guide plates?
Anyone using these heads with hardened pushrods and guide plates? I have some Crane non-self aligning rocker arms for center bolt heads and want to know if I can put the guide plates under the thread in rocker arm studs without having any machining done.

Thanks for the reply. I was under the impression that you had two choices. One, use self aligning rockers or two, use non self aligning rockers with guide plates and hardened pushrods. Just checking. These are the 76cc heads for the 350 and are for 1987 and up engines. If you aren't using any guide plates what keeps the rocker on the valve stem? Is the hole through the head casting tight enough to do the job?
