Does anyone know if a power programer is worth buying, and will it make any noticable differance. If anyone has one please let me know I am considering picking one up but just thought I would get some opinions first .

Thanks

HPP+

The HPP+ is for cars with the "flash" prom (OBDII with 16 pin ALDL link). Our third gen cars use a standard prom with a 12 pin ALDL link. So it isn't for the 3rd gens.

If you do have a 4th gen, then they are fine for some things. I have one for my wife's 96 RamAir. Some of the parameters they help with on OBDII cars are things like fan turn on/off temps (don't have to change the temp switch like on 3rd gens), speedo changes for different rear end gear ratios & tire diameters (don't have the drive & driven gears to change like on a 3rd gen), firm up shifts (4L60E's allow this, our 700R4's don't), shift points at WOT (again a 4L60E issue).

Also got the Power Scan module that allows me to read the codes/sensors like my AutoXray/EZ Link scanner does.
