This is What i have:

'90 IROC-Z LT1 conversion 5-speed convertable.

What i need are some subframe connectors for this thing. I cannot seem to find ANY for a convertable regardless of year or the conversion to the LT1. Anyone know where they can be found.

Thanks.......

Remnant, I have a 92 Z28 convertible and I have MAC tublar weld-in sub-frame connecters on mine. Fit is awesome. By the way I have a single cat. In 97 when I bought em they were 99 bucks.

I'm confused here. Supposedly the "Terminator Series" will not fit convertibles, according to their websites on-line catalog. Last time I had checked on this was that AlstonRacing had a pair that did fit convertibles.

Frobozz,

I have them on my 88 IROC convertible and they fit fine. These are/were made by Alston and sold by IRS.

i thought convert's came from the factory with sub frame connectors already. that was part of the process of making it a convertable.

Chuck, I just checked out IRS' online catalog and they show four sfc part numbers. Do you know which one would be the correct one for convertibles? Thanks!!

I think you want IRS-18292W. After reading the ad it says it is for 93-98 but I believe that is a typo. I looked up the 93-97 f-bodies and the part number was different.

If it is the same set I have they worked fine in conjunction with the factory connectors.

88blkiroc, You are correct in saying the convertibles came with factory sub-frame connectors but they are not enough in my opinion.

Alstons clear dual cats on a convertible. I have them on my 89RSconvt and I used to have dual cats.
Very high quality pieces.

what are the differences between convert. SFC and regular SFC's?

I WOULD RATHER PUSH A CAMARO THAN DRIVE AN IMPORT

1983Z28 350w/ edelbrock performer RPM power package with 64cc aluminum heads, dynomax shorty headers, 700R-4 with shift kit, 750cfm carb, edelbrock 3" exhaust system, ASCD SS hood, 16" IROC rims.

future mods:
completely done over suspension, black paint with flames, Hurst shifter, dakota digital gauge package, procharger supercharger.

Convertibles have two boxed rails under the rockers on both sides that would interfere with stock F-body LCA's. However convertibles and t-top cars respond very well to SFCs.
