Demon or Holly

Im am in the middle of converting my 91z from a 305 tpi to a 350 carb. Ive seen hollys perform and I know they got a good rep, but Demons look intimidating. I dont know how much price differance there is or if its woth it though. Im planning on getting a 700-800 cfm w/mechanical secondaries.

Truthfully, I would skip both and go for either a Q-Jet or Edelbrock. The Holley is a pain in the *** to tune, and are built like zhit. The Q-Jet and edelebrock are a lot better choices for a street car, especially since they flow enough air for 500hp and give good economy.

If you have more power than that, you automatically get a dominator, no stopiing at Holley (or demon) and do not collect $200.

Barry Grant is basically a Demon carb

Go Demon, you won't be disappointed ... it has all the advantages of both holley and edelbrock... and if you pay the extra cash for the RS version, you get the removable venturi sleeves... not a bad deal at all... and worth the money if you like to play a lot

I just ordered the 625 cfm Road Demon to replace my 750 holley that isn't performing like I want. I'll let ya know how the Demon runs if there's a difference. Looks to me like a better setup all the way around. 4 corner idle, clear sight plugs, ported inlets, and the choke tower is a good half inch at least shorter than a standard holley one (good for using w/ a drop base aircleaner like I have to use, allows for extra area for air to make the turn down).

Got it for $299 from Jegs, Summit is backordered for a couple weeks they said...

I've had two Speed Demon 750 carbs and they both had metal shards in them from manufacturing. They never worked right. I know three people with the same exact problem and they sent them back. We'll never buy one again.
