I ran a Comp XE Hyd Roller custom grind 230/236@.050 .544/.555 112lsa ground 4 degs advance in my 383 up until this past spring. The cam worked very well! I had no problem passing emissions with it and the idle was very stable. One suggestion that I would make is to use the Comp 987-16 springs with any of their Hyd Roller cams due to the aggressive ramp. Also if it's in your budget, use Titanium retainers as well.
By the way, I am now using the Comp Extreme Mechanical Roller cam with some pretty impressive results so far.
