I will keep my same set-up with the following changes: XE-274 cam. 2000 RPM stall, 3.73's, and 1.6 roller rockers.

I am stuck on what to do for headers though. I was going to get the SLP 1 3/4's but they only have a 2 1/4 collector. I would like a full 3" exhaust. I wouldn't mind getting 1 5/8's headers but I don't want to get stuck having a shop make me a y-pipe. Should I go with the Hooker super comps? Do they have a 3" collector?

------------------
I WOULD RATHER PUSH A CAMARO THAN DRIVE AN IMPORT

1983Z28 350w/ edelbrock performer RPM power package , dynomax shorty headers, 700R-4 with shift kit, 750cfm carb, edelbrock 3" exhaust system, 16" IROC rims and ASCD SS hood.

future mods:
SLP headers, completely done over suspension, black paint with flames, NEW PLAN IN THE MAKING:
BUILD A WILD CHEVY 302 JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL Z28 HAD

Not sure what your same setup is, but if don't already have heads they're good $ to hp. 'Bout any of the alum. aftermarket heads will make a big diff. especially with your other planned changes. I put the trick flow 23deg heads on and am happy with them. Yes the supercomps have a 3" collector. I bought them with 1 3/4 in primarys, andd they come with all the tubes for smog hookups-but plan on customizing (bending) the air pipe that goes to the cat and making some heat sheilding for the starter. A mini-starter also fits easier-but thts true with any full lengh header.

I have the Edelbrock RPM heads. I am looking for a 1 3/4 primary with a 3" collector and a Y-pipe

Hooker Super Comps and Hedman LTs are the only headers that have 1 3/4" primaries and 3" collectors. Neither comes with a y-pipe, so you'll have to see what it'll cost for a muffler shop to do it.

------------------
82 Camaro:
350
Erson cam, ported heads,Comp Cams 1.6:1 rocker arms
Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, Holley 600
Crane Hi-6 ignition, Accel supercoil
TH350 tranny with 2500 stall.
Eibach Pro Kit
SLP 1 3/4" headers

Hooker calls their shorties "Super Comps". They're 1-5/8" primaries, 2-1/2" down-pipes to 3" y-pipe at the collector. Have A.I.R. & O2 fittings. Only downside is the ball-joint from the collector to the down-pipe only has a 1.9" opening - I wrote Hooker about opening that up, they haven't responded. Guess I'll just do it.
