underdrive pullies
are underdrive pullies really woth the $70? do they make that big of a difference? i have heard conflicting stories like they drain too much power off your alternator and they make your car idle lower. i know march makes a 2 pully kit (crank and alternator). should i invest??
Try doing a search for "underdrive pullies" on the Tech/General Engine board. That should get you more info than you ever wanted to know.

A quick answer, no, not worth $70 on a basically stock engine. I felt no SOTP difference but it might add a few HP when your engine revs in the higher rpm's or when you have some good power.

Underdrive pulleys are definatly a better choice to do after you have done some other mods like exhaust, heads, cam, porting, etc. Save them for last.
I have the 2 pulley setup from March. I noticed a little less drain from the A/C and some better pull at higher RPMs'. You do have to get the overdrive pulley for your alternator though!!
