SLP Headers or Edelbrock TES Headers ?

SLP Headers or Edelbrock TES Headers ?

What do you think of these two products, were you satisfied with the performance and installation ?

Do a search on this in the exhaust forum and you'll have enough reading to keep you busy for a long time.

Just to throw my 2 cents in... the SLP are a PITA to install big time, but their quality makes it worth it. If you work full time, I'd say be prepared to take a week to install, assuming you spend a few hours a day everyday for a week after work.

Axle/Gears: 10bolt Richmond 3.73 Torsen
SLP has 2 sets of headers. The new (4-1) and the old tri-y (4-2-1). The new SLP headers have problems with the steering shaft. The tri-y design has over an inch clearance if not more. SLP definatly has build quality.

It took me 3 hours to install SLP 1 3/4" headers a couple years ago. I dont have them anymore.
Edelbrock's headers made it hard for me to change spark plugs.

Chuck please lock this thread. it will get out of control Im sure.

SLP headers are way better than Edelcrock's. And the steering shaft problem is easy to fix, and it doenst happen on everyone's car.

If you plan on porting out the intake manifold then headers with 1 3/4" primaries are your best bet.
