new here, what headers

Would like some headers for the 91 TA 305 TPI. Anyone know of some that fit good and are somewhat easy to install without having to do much modification? Was looking at summit SLP 1 5/8 primary in stainless steel. Want to have the air line hookups.

Thanks in advance

IMO, don't get the AIR tubes, you can still pass Emissions as long as you have your cat(s). SLP is the way to go, if not Edelbrock makes a decent set for about 1/2 the price.

I know in north carolina they checkto make sure all of the emmisions equipment is there. So if your car was stock with air tubes then you should get headers with air.

Yeah, get the ones with air tubes. If u still have the AIR on there and stuff then I would go with the headers with the AIR tubes.

Look at the exhaust board and you'll see SLP's are the best. There's also a group purchase deal on them, so you can save some money.

I didn't know there's a group purchase on them. How do we access that?

Go to the exhaust forum and do a search for the GP info.

SLPs are THE BEST. I had edelbrocks, and to be honest I thought that they were sh*t. They were advertised at 1-5/8", but there is NO WAY that they were actually that diameter. I was extremely un-impressed by them. Then, I bit the bullit, and got my SLPs. they are AMAZING. Here are some pics..

the y-pipe..

They have a bunch of crap on them, I think powere steering fluid (dont ask). But you can tell by looking at them that they are VERY good quality. I was very impressed by the welds, etc.

Mine are the 1-3/4"without the AIR tubes, but the others are similar. I wouldn't get the AIR tubes...they look like crap. As long as you have a CAT you will probably pas if you go to the right place.

Any questions email me.

After you pay for the installation kit, the headers, the catalyst adapter and all that, you'll have spent a fortune on the SLPs. If you don't all that money, I honestly don't think you can go wrong with the Edelbrocks. I got mine for $320, that included the headers, 3" y pipe, and EVERYTHING else you needed to install them. I'm sure the SLPs are better, but I am very happy with the choice I made to get the Edelbrock TES.

Dan, those of us at sea level with better than 2.77 gears need the extra breathing power of the better SLP headers. The Edelbrock's work great for you because you're at altitude with less air density.

For anyone who's short on cash, I'd get the Hooker system.
