The Hypertech stuff would be a great addition if you added a better modulator. The HEI's weakness is in the higher rpms. The Hypertech kit with an aftermarket modulator would cure those woes provided you had a good working HEI to begin with. If you decide to do it, pull the distributor out and clean it up real good. Make sure the advance plates move freely and aren't all gummed up.
