Bolt kit
Is there anywhere, other than TPIS, that you can get an intake manifold bolt (torx) kit for an L98?
I have read bad things about the TPIS kit.

I don't know about torx, but theres a guy on eBay selling stainless allen-head bolt kits for a pretty reasonable price. I got a set and I'm very happy with them. They look great on my red-powdered TPI.

Bolts are bolts, especially on an intake manifold where there isn't much pressure/vacuum.
I can't speak for the L98, but for my wet intake SBC, 12 3/8"-16x1"long bolts are the size, get some socket head capscrews and you're set. (that's what i'm doing, $5 from a hardware store...)

He's talking about the special length bolts that hold the runners and plenum together on a TPI setup. Some of us like to use polished stainless bolts to help dress things up. Stock bolts just don't look right on a polished or powdercoated intake.
