Need a good Deep cycle battery charger
Im not asking for one, this isn't a thread for the classifieds, I am wanting to know if anyone can recommend a good one.
I have a set of Interstate Optima Red tops that keep getting drained by my car. I take them to interstate to have them charged relatively frequently (car has problems.. I know). Anyway, I asked them about it, and they said they were using a $39 trickle charger to recharge the batteries. I've no idea what to look for but something didn't sound right about that. So, I am looking for a good deepcycle charger. Anyone have recommendations?

I use a product called a battery tender. It works good and it wont overcharge your battery but keeps where it should be.

The company is called "battery tender". Iam not sure if it will bring a dead battery back to life but I connect mine after I park my car everytime. I also bought a new battery at the same time.here is a link to the one i have. But I got mine off ebay

Interstate optima's -
Many CCA's (cold cranking amps)
sealed non spillable ...
looks pretty
.... mine have always been based on the CCA's as crap batteries cant turn my IROC over.
Interstate has a great warranty on them as well, never needed a receipt, just took the battery in and had it replaced. Also, the interestate batteries here in my hometown has Refurb red tops that they sell for $50! I've a friend who works their, and he tells me that they are batteries that the goobers at walmart and various locations do not have the time to charge properly so they consider them dead and interstate receives them. They run some pretty rigorous tests on them before selling them again as well. If you have an interstate batteries (actual store/office location) in your town, you should go ask them about their scratch and dent/refurb red tops.

The thing with optimas is that once they get drained to less than 10V they are VERY tough to charge. There is a new charger called a C-TEK charger that is made by a company for Interstate and they are supposed to be great for all gel cell batteries.A battery tender is just that a tender NOT a charger. Its designed to keep the battery charged. We normally have to charge dead optimas for about 2 days. They are on a low charge and hooked in series with another battery.
