just put them on, and if a cop is telling you that its forbidden, take them of in front of the cop, you can click them off just as easy as putting them on again.
throw them in your trunk and tell the cop you werent sure if it was legal or not.
at home put them on again.

I got hassled when I had them on a older truck always during the day too.I asked the cop what's the differance because older vehicles didn't have day time running lights anyway and that I did take them off at night. They said because if you come upon smoke or fog and needed to turn your lights on there covered. It was just too much hassle in the end continually getting pulled over, cause then they start nailing you for window tint etc.My opinion I wouldn't recommend it unless you like talking to the cops.

I have a set of smoke (dark) colored ones, aswell as clear and red (painted a set of clear ones to match the car).
I have never been hassled by cops on the smoked ones, but I guess it depends on the cop. I wouldn't recommend using them at night though.
The clear covers look great on the Iroc, and I prefer these the most. Makes the car look pretty exotic.
The red ones I have look great too. Gives the car that UNIQUE "hidden lights" look.
Beware though, at high speeds the light covers tend to fly off. It actually fun at times. They just flick off like a missle over top of the vehicle. I'm like "okay, there she goes..." lol.
The light covers need to be screwed down, but I try to avoid that cuz I don't wanna hack into my car. I use electrical tape tp keep 'em down.
Also, if you keep them on the car for extended periods of time without taking them off, and if it rains, the water tends to gather and dry on the flat body part of the front lights, and when it dries the dirt can accumulate and is visible.
