Car: 85 z28 and a 97 ford ranger
Engine: 305 carb and a 4cyl pos
Transmission: both have a 5spd

i have an 85 z28 h motor made in the us, with the 5 spd... i am looking at replacing the carb to the edelbrock part #1406.... witch is the 600 cfm electric choke... now what dist... do you recomened i am looking at putting a cheap one in for now that will work with it and then later going to the msd or the mallory... but any idea what part # or type that will work well with that... that any parts place will have in stock adn aproximate price t go with that...

You can use any hei or points type dist. I used a accel Hei w/ an accel coil bougt both brand new at autozone for under 200 bucks works great
