Brodix IK200s - Initial Impression w/pics
These are the non-cnc port/chamber version of the IK200 aluminum heads.
200cc port
64cc chamber
Straight plugs
3-angle valve job
Fully Assembled
Total for these heads was $967.00 + FREE shipping = $967.00 to my door within 4 days of ordering from Summit.
The packaging looks very good and appears to be straight from the Brodix warehouse. Each head is individually wrapped in the box, and each includes an orange tag covering seat pressure etc. These heads are very light, weighing in at a total of 58 lb. for both heads fully assembled. The bolt design is that of pre-87: straight intake bolts and perimeter-bolt valve cover pattern. Ok, now on to the pictures. Click each picture for a larger version.
NOTE: Pictures are hosted OFF-SITE and do not affect the bandwidth of Thirdgen.org.
1) What could this be?!
2) Packaging looks good so far
3) Fresh out of the box
4) Intake ports. These could use some cleaning up.
5) Chambers
Conclusion: These appear to be high quality heads, and are probably one of the best deals you can get out there for aluminum cylinder heads. If you want a "more finished" product or if you don't do your own porting, you might want to get the ports and chambers CNC finished. Also, BRODIX does NOT recommend these heads for use with a supercharger, so if you are going this route, you may want to check out the Track 1's.

According to Brodix, the KC IK210 heads are only sold as a complete top-end package, varying from $2600 and up depending on what options you want.
