I Bought a 3 inch flowmaster kit for my car when it still had the 305 in it. Its a 3 inck setup with a 2.5 inch exit, I'm confused why they didn't just make the whole thing 3 inch. Now that I had edelbrock TES, and a 3inch cat I'm wondering if this 2.5 inch exhaust is causing a noticeable restriction. About the only thing this tailpipe is good for is the sleeper look, but the lopey idle and hoodscoop kind of offset it now. I figure it'll cost me about a hundred dollars to get a 3 inch flowmaster muffler and tailpipe and I want to know if you guys think it'll be worth it

I say get away from flowmaster, i've heard better reports of other cat-back systems liked dynomax and hooker aero chamer mufflers. I myself felt a reduction in HP when i installed my flowmaster cat-back. Maybe someone else would like to elaborate on this.

Vortecfcar, I am moving this to the exhaust forum to see if you can get more feedback there.
