Re: ACC Torque Convertor
I am going to bump this to keep from starting my own thread.
Im looking into the same converter. Purely for cost reasons. I dont care if I could pick up 2 tenths by going with another converter that will cost me $600. This is a mostly street driven car.
I know that 57kid has run an ACC converter before. Surely others on here have too. So far from searching I have not found anyone that has had any problems with them.
Any updates? How are people liking their ACC converters. Specifically 700r4 ones.
Thanks

Re: ACC Torque Convertor
I have had this convertor in my car for over a year now. With 3.23 gears I have posted a 1.81 60' ft time. No complaints at all.

Re: ACC Torque Convertor
I have the 3200-3600 and its a awesome converter. (on my th350) It stalls around 3250 on my car at the track and around 2800 on the street. I have about 600 miles on it and my car pulls 1.70 60ft's with it.

Re: ACC Torque Convertor
I ended up buying the 48452 unit. It is a 9.75" 2200-2800 stall. Came in the other day. Bought it from KJM Performance. Looks great. I'll post back up when my trans builder ever gets done.

I had one in the '57 (TH400, non-lock-up, obviously) from '03-'08. 2800-3200 version, it stalled at 3500 behind the 396. Ran the snot out of it, including some nitrous runs towards the end of 2008.
I put a 4000 stall Hughes (GM40-HD) last season, wasn't a big pick-up from the Boss Hog. Felt better running it, knowing it was more stoutly built.
For the price, the ACC is a pretty good unit.
