B&M Megashifter problems

My shifter is starting to jam up when going from park to neutral to drive...some times I cant even pull up the release...its jams up to and I gotta fight with it to get it in gear...

whats up with that? the cable seems to be fine and so is the linkage under the car....its in the shifter for some reason

what can I look at?

Re: B&M Megashifter problems

check your gear indicator cable they are prone to bend and jam up

I think I looked at that......I dont remember.

Its so short I dont see how that would cause the shifter to jam up

Re: B&M Megashifter problems

happened to mine the cable broke where it coneects to the shifter itself and it lodged in between the part that moves and the bracket, def caused it to jam lol..... had hell trying to fix it, damn thing still doesn't indicate right... granted don't really need it to

Re: B&M Megashifter problems

ok well I found out what was wrong...it turned out to be under the car where the cable is connected to the gear selector on the trans. the outter sleeve had come apart and wasnt allowing the cable to slid back thru...I just taped it back together and its seems to hold pretty good till I get a new cable...guess after 6 years it finally gave out.

Got a new problem!...

I took the indicator loose off the shifter plate and cant for the life of me figure out how it goes back on...there are 2 spacers bolts and 2 nuts that connects the indicator to the plate....along with the light...

how does that go back together?

can someone take a picture? or something?

I looked in my B&M box and it doesnt say how to do that...

thanks!!
