Yes I have and I hope you have a lot of patience if you decide to do it.

It pans out like this: there are three bolts that hold the motor mount to the crossmember. The weird part is that the nuts are NOT welded to the crossmember. You have to get at them with a wrench. If I can remember correctly, the bottom one by itself can be reached with a long extention socket and a wobble connector. The top two can be reached by access holes in the crossmember towards the firewall. The best thing is to go to your local hardware store and buy a cheap monkey wrench. It think it is 9/16" and use a torch to bend it a little. When you look at the access hole you will understand which way to bend it.

Another thing...do NOT drop the washers behind the nuts. I did this and had to employ the local neighborchild at a rate of $5 to put his arm in the crossmember and get it (best $5 I spent on the car yet).

As far as results, I do not know because the car is not running yet. I did this during a motor swap but I have heard good things.

Hope this helps

Steve

I've got them. I put them in with the motor out so it was much easier. You can get to them with a long box end wrench (I thoutht it was a 15mm, don't remember). When I put the bolts back in, it was easier to put them in upside down (bolts through the bottom/nuts on top).

Sparks a flyin'.

Guys -

ES sells two different mounts ... 4-bolt and 3-bolt. Their catalog says 4-bolt and the aftermaket mounts indicate 4-bolt. Which ones and/or ES Part numbers did you guys use?

This is perfect timing.. Actually I just ordered the same mounts from summit today. The sales person was Parker (he is very helpful and knowledgeable) and he explained that you must drill out the rivets in the clamshell style mount and insert the new poly mount inside. I have not gotten them yet, will be a week or so before they get here. Anybody got any heads up advice here?
The mounts are indeed a bitch to get at, I can't imagine doing it with the motor in the bay.. Note that all bolts and nuts are 15mm with washers underneath the nuts. I used long extensions on the driver side and a universal. The Pass side is the one that you really have to have patience for. I removed the wheel and accessed the top 2 with a LONG extension and the universal. I found that the only way to get in there was by putting the ratchet right in front of the pass side ground effect. (you'll see the gap between the A-arm and coil spring, allowing access for both bolts).
When I install, I plan on using silicone to hold the washer and nut together so I don't have to do any crossmember "fishing", or rent the neighbor's kid for awhile! Reversing the bolt and nut direction also sounds like a hell of a good idea to me!

I just did mine today. I decided that instead of paying the neighbors kid $5, that i would just compress the springs and drop the LCA at the ball joint. Doing this gave me very good access to the top bolts (you can get to the bottom one easily anyways), and i can honestly say that this extra step saved a lot of time and aggrevation, plus i know that everything is tight and in working order.

I just put MM, trany mounts and secondary crossmember mounts on my bird. Its not to bad but I pulled the motor. The ES mounts are alot stiffer then the stock rubber mounts. I could move the rubber mounts in the clam. The ES mounts, wouldn't budge in the clam. One last thing Summit and jegs sells kits, 2 MM's,& 1 tranny mount. For $59 or $69. The kit, Secndary crossmember mounts and a torque arm mount cost me $103.
