Got my new Rotojoint double adjustable LCA's this week....I haven't installed them yet but so far they look solid....hopefully I'll get them on this week and post up the shakedown.

 

Well I finally got around to putting them on which was easy enough...just followed the instructions and matched them up to the old ones. I haven't driven the car yet cause they're callin for snow tomorrow so all I have is pics of the install so far.

 

Looks great. Can't wait to hear how the work out.

awesome, is a different ride quality possible? i figure a control arm feels about the same no matter the design.

 

I think so....the solid poly LCA's I previously had on there didn't give much which some report to cause a bind in the suspension....and I mean I could kick out the *** end on this car quite easily and it would snap back making it difficult to regain control. When I installed these, I noticed the rotojoint allows the LCA to pivot at the mounts which should allow better control and still give good traction and launch.....here's hopin'!

 

Thanks for posting info and pics. I bought rotojoint LCA's and panhard bar. Haven't put them on yet since it is too cold in garage! Looks like they will be a nice suspension upgrade.

 

I'm gonna take her out for a spin tonight and see what's up....I'll post the findings tomorrow

Thats a nice install next to your sway bar. I bought the RLCAB's and LCA's and the Wonder bar as well from UMI Performance. But my stuff is not a rotojoint design I just got the regular ones.

Thanks Tony....Well after some hard cornering and a few donuts in a parking lot (not dunkin donuts..haha)....IMHO these get two thumbs up. I drove around last night on some curvey roads and I could still break the back end loose in a hard corner but the car doesn't feel like its winding up to snap back into position. When I had the solid poly LCA's, the car would snap back into position after a hard turn and then it was kinda squirley for a second or two. Now with the rotojoints, it's much more controllable....almost like having shock absorbers on the LCA's and the car didn't snap back after cornering. I like 'em!

 

Should I notice a different with these parts for my car by any chance that you might know of?

It's not going to be a huge difference, but you'll notice it, plus that wonderbar stiffens up the front end a bit and you'll feel it in the wheel. Sub frame connectors made a BIG difference in my ride. I think if you changed everything in one day and added SFC's, it would seem like a different car. One thing tho....those relocation brackets are designed to aid in straight launches, not cornering. There's more about that somewhere in here if you do a search

 

I installed my lower control arms and relocation brackets today and got damm! Huge difference I believe no more wheel hope my nose actually lifts up like before when I went with big tires in the back and about corners damm I felt a difference more sturdier.

Still waiting for my wonder bar to come in I already have subframe connectors havent install tem yet due that im going to paint them red to match the rest of my parts.

Keeping my 88 IROC mostly stock, but I put a set of the non-adjustable poly/roto joints on my 98 Z28 and love them. They do a great job of keeping the *** end flat.

 

Glad you guys like them! We are actually having trouble keeping them in stock
